When eating at an Italian restaurant, what should you avoid if you suffer from heartburn?

heavy desserts, such as tiramisu or cheesecake, are more likely to trigger
heartburn. Other no-nos for heartburn sufferers include heavy tomato or cream
sauces, double cheese on pizza, sausage and pepperoni, and oil-based salad
dressings. Instead, choose dishes with little or no cheese, pasta “en brodo”
(which is a light broth-type sauce), minestrone (vegetable) or pasta fagioli
(macaroni and bean) soups, veal or chicken in a light mushroom sauce, vegetable
side dishes without too much garlic or olive oil, and biscotti for dessert.
