Hiking or biking this fall? Don’t leave home without the trail mix. This super-energizing version is ready in no time flat -- just dump and stir! Every ingredient is nutrient-rich: Both cereals provide whole-grain carbohydrates; dried cherries, dates and cranberries boost the antioxidants; and soy nuts and peanuts pack in the protein. In fact, soy nuts contain at least 33 percent more protein than most other nuts -- and dark chocolate soy nuts satisfy that chocolate craving and provide a double dose of heart-protective antioxidants (which are found in both nuts and dark chocolate).
